I made the wing center section from medium-weight 3/32 balsa. 1/16, or very light 3/32 would have worked just fine. I sanded the profile to an airfoil shape and I also sanded it down to about 1/16 at the outer edges where it would be joined to the polyhedral tips. Finally, I beveled the edges to the polyhedral angle (30 degrees).






The last steps to complete the airframe were to glue a “battery shelf” of 1/32 sheet at the nose and to glue the wings in place.


The photo below shows radio installation. The RFFS-100 receiver sits on top of the wing; the lithium-polymer cell rests on the battery shelf. Both are kept in place with double-sided tape.
